Rock Solid Paving & Excavating, Inc. (Rock Solid) was
founded by Hugh Graham and has been serving Northwest
Indiana and south Chicagoland areas since 1994.

Since then, the company has grown significantly in both number of employees, equipment, and facilities. The size and complexity of the company’s paving projects has grown tremendously as well under Hugh’s direction.

Rock Solid’s quality-driven project successes and the participation with the local operators union and laborers union has opened more opportunities for the company to pave much larger projects such as large commercial parking lots, miles of asphalt pathway in municipal parks, heavy industrial parking areas and service roads, and subdivision roads. Furthermore, Rock Solid can provide auxiliary services relating to asphalt paving including concrete curb, concrete flatwork, storm drainage, site excavation, and decorative StreetPrint™ paving .

Our project management staff and field foremen bring to our customers over 65 years of experience and a unique blend of practical know-how and professional construction engineering, estimating, and project management services.

We bring to the job site experienced owner-supervised crews with up-to-date equipment to get the paving job done efficiently and with a high degree of quality. Rock Solid is a union-based company, fully bonded and insured. All of our completed paving projects come with a minimum one (1) year warranty against pavement failure and/or defective material components (details available).
